shared roots micro farm

Shared Roots participates in the "Growing Markets" ag-incubator program at the Butler Township Community Garden. Established in 2009 by the Center for Landscape Design & Stewardship (CLDS), the non-profit organization offers a 1/4 acre plot of land for aspiring ag-entrepreneurs to rent and practice small-scale organic agricultural production. A portion of the revenue raised from the sale of the produce and flowers grown within the garden goes back into supporting the CLDS’ educational mission, which provides college students with summer internship opportunities.
